Family Cookbook By Caroline Bretherton – Cookbook Review.

Family Cookbook By Caroline Bretherton (2)

It was the night before Thanksgiving in Canada (about a month before the US Thanksgiving) and I was looking for a simple recipe for a glaze for our traditional ham. Ham is one of those things that’s not overly popular in our home but it does show up around the holiday season on our table. Typically it’s just myself, Caron and Tehya who ever indulges in what I think is yet another masterpiece by myself (pat shoulders) in the kitchen, but with my parents and a couple other guests joining us for dinner… I knew none would go to waste.

About a week ago we picked up the latest cookbook to join our collection, Family Cookbook By Caroline Bretherton on one of our weekly treks to Costco and I did recall seeing a delightful recipe for glazed ham. So no better time to put this “”Family Cookbook By Caroline Bretherton” to the test.

Here are my thoughts on Family Cookbook By Caroline Bretherton…

To recap: Family Cookbook By Caroline Bretherton is a gorgeous hardcover book, with brilliant pictures for every recipes, easy to follow cooking instructions and a wide range of recipes to choose from. With the wide assortment of recipes, even if you had limited ingredients in your fridge and pantry, you could still find something delicious to prepare.  It’s a cookbook I would highly recommend for anyone just starting a family as I love the fact that it covers recipes from the time a baby starts eating solids all the way up to being grown folks. Recipes which take on a global appeal, with good representation of cuisine from every continent.

Did I mention that I paid less than $11 at the Costco?
