I too am from the Caribbean but still have a lot more of our food 2 taste. it would be nice to get some recipes that r relevant to the items received in the box. I always share your recipes with Trinidadian friends and family who live abroad. The recipes are so easy to follow and the ingredients are always readily available in the West Indian supermarkets. Your recipes connect them to back home and family.
I like the Tabanca Box idea – very interesting. Good luck to the winner. Incorporating our local indigenous spices would be interesting.

I’ve been to Trinidad 3 times and now am unable to return so am missing the fantastic food. I’d love a Tabanca Box (what a wonderful idea!) with anything Trini. I miss drinking Sorrel so would want that in my box but the rest can be a surprise! A cocoa mixer would be nice but I just use my whisk so it’s not necessary. I do have the Trinidad key ring tho’…brings smiles with memories of Trinidad…

I would like to receive some Royal Castle Green Seasoning Pepper sauce packets, Coconut Fudge, Barfi, Kurma, Red Mango with pepper, tamarind balls with pepper, maybe a fridge magnet with a photo from the islands . (e.g. My friend Josephine in Trinidad recently created a face book site with her photos of various beaches, sunsets, old houses, historic sites, fruits etc., birds, flora and fauna from Trinidad. She is selling them and calls her Facebook age “Corner Brightners By: Sarahjo”)

    Good Afternoon Chris,
Mr. J and I enjoy your videos; assists in planning a variety of great foods & cooking lovely meals. Thank you.
Just love all of the Trini treats in the TabancaBOX, lovely gift box; certainly a tasty mix to share or treat oneself.
My suggestion; include a variety of Trini hot liquids to serve up alongside, wash down all dat sweet goodness.. Yum!
A few to include; Cocoa tea , Ovaltine, Sorrel tea (each packet include; nut meg, cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaf…) warm sumptuous little packets that could fit into a logo’d cup. Directions on each packet how to prep.
    Regards Mr. & Mrs. J
