Wednesday Wing Night At Fool and Flagon Hamilton.
I’m a huge fan of “good” chicken wings so we’re always on the hunt for the perfect chicken wings. It being Wednesday night and knowing about the wing night special at the Fool And Flagon, a pub/restaurant that our good friend Marko introduced us to a year or so ago.. well, it was time to rekindle our love for chicken wings. In the video below I’ll walk you through the menu, show you how the chicken wings order comes to you and share some final thoughts on which sauces hit and miss the taste buds target.
Overall the wings are big (perfect size), well cooked, but still juicy even though you get that wonderful crispy skin (slightly battered) which allows the chosen sauce to really adhere to the wings and make for a tasty experience. Fool and Flagon can certainly use a facelift as the carpets are a bit tattered, the booths and chairs are not the most comfortable, but maybe that’s part of the whole pub feel and vibe. Overall a good spot to drink a couple beers, enjoy some wings and watch the game?
With 4 pounds of wings and 2 soft drinks (coke and sprite) the bill came to around $50, so pretty reasonable compared to paying anywhere from $10 to $13 a pound for wings at other bars and pubs in the area. And the service was pretty decent!
