A Quick & Tasty Asparagus Recipe With Chris De La Rosa.
Asparagus like spinach and other ‘green’ vegetable can be found on our dinner table on a regular basis., though it’s only myself and Tehya who shows any true affection for these tasty vegetables. With the cheap abundance of asparagus at the grocers lately, I thought I’d share a quick and tasty recipe with you all.
* If you’re like me and store your purchased Asparagus in the fridge, here’s quick tip on ensuring they last longer in the fridge. Cut off about 1/4 inch off the bottom stems, place in a glass with cool water (water must be about 1-2 inches) then place a plastic bag over everything. This will keep the Asparagus hydrated and by covering with the plastic bag it will keep it a bit humid and remain ‘green”. This way it’ will not wrinkle as if they were left open in the fridge.
Here’s video tutorial on cooking the Asparagus:
You’ll Need…
1 lb asparagus
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped or crushed)
pinch sea salt
pinch pepper flakes
top with feta or parmesan
2 tablespoon olive oil
Basically all you have to do is trim off the woody ends off the Asparagus, heat the olive oil, add the garlic then go in with the Asparagus, salt and pepper flakes. After which you’ll top with the feta cheese. Try to not over cook the Asparagus and be sure to serve warm.
