How To Melt Chocolate In A Double Boiler.
With Valentine’s day around the corner, I had a request on how to make chocolate dipped strawberries so I thought I’d share a quick video on a simple chocolate melting technique. Melting chocolate to coat fresh fruit or to drizzle onto desserts or to use a a dip is quite easy if you follow these simple steps.
This method is called the double boiler technique and here’s a quick video I did detailing how simple it is:
Let’s run through the steps again…
– bring water to a boil
– place glass or metal bowl on top of pot (do not let the bottom of the bowl touch the water)
– reduce heat to a simmer
– add chocolate pieces and with a whisk or spatula stir until melted
