My Hamilton, All About Oysters At Two Black Sheep.

The food and bar scene in Hamilton is certainly not what it was when I was part of the nightlife culture. Today it’s being led by young, trendy and masterfully skilled Hamiltonians. People who know what this generation expect when they brave the dark and head out for a good time.  And one of the spots leading this new revolution of eating good GREAT with excellent company and relatively cheap, is Two Black Sheep. You may have come across reviews in traditional media as I know newspapers both local and from the greater Toronto area have all been impressed by this electric unassuming oyster bar.

As mentioned other forms of media have done their interpretation of what Two Black Sheep is, so I’d rather focus on the oysters! You can can get a cold beer at any bar or restaurant in Hamilton.

The owner (right side of the image above) and staff at Two Black Sheep graciously allowed me to video my lesson on oysters.

If you own my cookbook you’d know that I grew up eating oysters… being from the Caribbean, I know what fresh oysters are supposed to taste like, the right texture and how to compliment the rich flavors of the ocean with just the right amount of dressing. I’ll tell you this.. Two Black Sheep does it RIGHT!
