The Vibrant Caribbean Pot 100 Traditional And Fusion Recipes Vol 2.

The pride and joy I felt that Friday afternoon when the truck delivering my first physical cookbook backed onto our driveway is definitely a moment in time which will always live with me. After a full year of relentless work with the combined efforts of my Project Manager Karen Nicole Smith, Graphic and Layout Designer  Ashley McKenzie-Barnes and Editor Izabela Szydlo, my cookbook was about to become a reality. I had seen the demo copy the printers had sent to us about 8 weeks prior, but we had several changes since then and I must confess… I was a bit ‘scared’ to see the final product.

With shaky hands I opened one of the boxes the books were packaged in for shipping, as Indy held a camera in place to capture the exact moment when I would lay eyes on my new ‘baby’! WOW… the book was absolutely stunning and at that juncture I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders (like when you pay off a credit card bill you’ve been babysitting for years).

My only concern during the entire process was to produce a cookbook which would represent the culinary culture of the Caribbean in a manner in which citizens from across the Caribbean would be proud to own and adopt as part of their heritage. We delivered!

The past 3 weeks we’ve been busy (absolutely insane) packaging, addressing and going to the post office from the time the sun comes up to late at night when most people are already deep into their 2nd dream of the night. The goal is to get this wonderful Caribbean cookbook into the hands of those people who stood by me over the years and supported me like a son, brother… best friend. THANKS!

We’ve now shipped out all the reserved copies made in January and working through February orders. Rest assured we’re working as fast as we can to deliver everyone’s order in a very timely manner. We do ask for your continued patience and understanding as we work our way though the list.
