5 Tips To Improve Your Instagram Game!
In the past 2 months I’ve added over 3,ooo new instagram followers to my account by implementing these 5 simple tips to my instagram routine. Yes, there are many people who get the same amount of new followers in under one hour, but their last name is usually Kardashian and it usually involves showing off their bottom and sort of cleavage or nudity.
Here are my 5 tips for growing your Instagram effectively…
- Be consistent in what you’re posting. Try to develop a style and train your followers to ‘expect’ your postings! Be kind and comment back – engage! I’ve even gone a step further (in my case the majority of pics I post are food related) so I ask people what are you having for dinner, lunch .. eating at that moment. Make them feel important and not just about YOU!
- More on that ENGAGEMENT – Share PICS and VIDEO. It can be of the same thing.. but both mediums capture a different perspective and story. In my case I may share the dish cooking away in the pot and the next day, share an image on the finished dish. But the caption may say having leftovers for lunch! (that caption is important)
- Take pictures and share later. I find that by having a series of stored images, I can share pics even on days when I don’t have a ‘story’ to share. It gives my followers the impression that I’m always doing something or always on the ‘scene’.
- Following up on tip 3 – when you travel you can use your “airplane mode’ to save on data and when you connect to a WiFi zone, unleash your Instagram creativity – this will give you time to work your magic with your filters and editors etc.
- Work your creativity as best as you can. This may mean taking pictures and videos at different angles.. but I BEG you to be cautious. In my case (as in the example above) I like using chairs and a step ladder to get overhead shots. BTW I use my camera at times and after editing the images on my computer.. I email them to my phone for uploading to Instagram.
BONUS TIP: Know when it’s the best time to post to Instagram! Engagement is the key to building that solid Instagram following, so knowing when your followers are most engaged (most likes, comments etc) is paramount to being successful. Luckily there’s a neat tool you can use which will tell you exactly this IconoSquare.com
